These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the JuppIt applications, desktop software, and website (together, the "Service"), provided by Venkataramana ("we", "us", the "Service Provider"). By creating an account, signing in (including with Google), or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
JuppIt lets you remotely view and control your own computers, transfer files between your own devices, and use related companion features. Screen, audio, and file streams travel directly between your devices (peer-to-peer, or via an encrypted relay when a direct path isn't possible) and are not stored by us.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Keep passwords, connection IDs, passcodes, and secret keys confidential.
- Information you provide must be accurate. We may require email verification before the account can be used.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only with devices you own or are explicitly authorized to access. You must not:
- Access, monitor, or control any computer or device without its owner's knowledge and consent;
- Use the Service to violate any law, or to infringe others' privacy, security, or intellectual property;
- Attempt to probe, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, or other users' data;
- Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service except where the law permits despite this restriction;
- Share, sell, or transfer your account without our consent.
Unauthorized access to computer systems is a criminal offence in most jurisdictions. We may suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe are being used for unauthorized access.
4. Free Tier, Limits, and Changes
- The Service is currently offered free of charge, subject to fair-use limits (for example, caps on connections, connected PCs, or transferred data). We may adjust these limits over time.
- We may introduce paid plans and advertising. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page.
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We are a small team and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
5. Your Content and Data
- You retain all rights to files and content you transfer through the Service. We do not claim ownership and, because transfers are device-to-device, we do not store your files or screen content.
- Our handling of account and diagnostic data is described in the Privacy Policy.
- You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time on the account deletion page.
6. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OPERATION. Remote-control actions (such as unlocking, restarting, or shutting down a PC, or transferring files) execute real operations on your devices — you are responsible for the actions you perform through the Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the Service Provider harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms, including any unauthorized access to third-party devices.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 5–8 survive termination.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page; material changes will also be flagged in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
