Windows

Version 2.4.11

Setting up on a Mac

macOS asks permission before any app may see your screen or move your pointer. JuppIt cannot work until you grant these, and macOS will not prompt twice — so if you miss a prompt, grant it from System Settings.

  1. Install. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag JuppIt onto the Applications folder, then open it from Applications.
  2. Find it in the menu bar. JuppIt has no Dock icon — click its icon at the top-right of the screen for the Connection ID, passcode and QR code.
  3. Allow Screen Recording. System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen & System Audio Recording › enable JuppIt. Quit and reopen JuppIt afterwards — the permission only takes effect on a fresh launch.
  4. Allow Accessibility. System Settings › Privacy & Security › Accessibility › enable JuppIt. Without this your phone or PC can see the Mac but cannot click or type.
  5. Optional — control the login screen. To type at the macOS login window from another device, approve the JuppIt driver extension: System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions › Driver Extensions. Everything else works without it.

If FileVault is on (the default on modern Macs), a Mac that restarts is not reachable until somebody unlocks it in person — the disk is still encrypted at that point, so nothing is running yet. This is true of every remote-access tool on macOS, not just JuppIt. For a planned restart, use Restart and reconnect in the viewer: JuppIt asks for your password on the Mac, skips the unlock screen for that one restart, and comes back ready to sign in remotely.

JuppIt doesn't require a login. Your files never sit on third-party servers — they flow directly from your phone to your PC. Read the privacy policy.
